Welcome message from the District Senior Management Team

Hello,

I just wanted to thankyou for being amongst the first people to sign up for PSNI Connect in Newry, Mourne and Down District. This new App is a really exciting opportunity to improve policing in your area and give you the opportunity to shape and have an input on the issues which are affecting you and your neighbours. A key building block of policing in Northern Ireland is that of policing with the community which goes back to that fundamental policing principal of Policing with consent - without that Policing does not work and we want you to be a central partner in helping us achieve that. 

As way of quick introduction my role in the District is that of Engagement Chief Inspector and I have primary responsibility for our neighbourhood policing teams, Support Hub, Reducing Offending Unit and also our District Support Team whom carry out the majority of our pro-active anti drugs work. I have been in the Police for 22 years now and in this current role for the last 18 months - over the next few weeks I will be sending you out a number of updates on what is currently going on in the District, our current priorities, good news stories and also looking for any feedback you can give us.
